Litigation Oversight Committee (LOC)
Overseeing Litigation. Pursuing Accountability. Representing Creditors.
About the LOC
The Genesis LOC is an independent, volunteer driven, court-authorized, creditor-elected body overseeing litigation against Digital Currency Group (DCG), its CEO Barry Silbert, and key advisors.
We are committed to exposing the misconduct that led to Genesis’s collapse — and recovering misappropriated assets worth billions for the benefit of creditors.
What the LOC Does
Oversee Litigation: Direct legal efforts targeting those responsible for breaches of fiduciary duty, insider dealings, and fraud.
Expose Misconduct: Bring public attention to the facts and individuals who helped conceal $1.1B in losses with a fraudulent promissory note.
Recover Assets: Aim to recover misappropriated cryptocurrency in kind (not dollarized values) currently worth over $2 billion and rising in value (deficiency includes 19,086 bitcoin, 69,197 ether, and 17,168,249 other coins as of February 9, 2025).
Why this Matters
Expose how DCG, Barry Silbert, and their advisors misled stakeholders.
Give creditors a voice and path to recovery.
Promote accountability across the digital asset industry.
